By now, you’ve heard of the deflate-gate punishment the NFL leveled on the New England Patriots and all-everything quarterback Tom Brady: a four-game suspension for Touchdown Tom, a million-dollar fine and loss of two draft picks for the Pats. Seems a wee bit large for a relatively minor rules violation, doesn’t it? We think so, and in this podcast we’ll discuss the absurdity of the ruling, the possible future for Roger Goodell as commissioner of the NFL, the ways in which the ruling could affect the Patriots now and in the future, and of course the theory that the NFL orchestrated this entire fiasco and will come out of it shining as always.
