Wizards rule Wall out for Game 3 vs. Hawks
WASHINGTON — Washington Wizards point guard John Wall has been ruled out for Game 3 against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.
Wall will miss his second straight game due to five non-displaced fractures in his left wrist and hand, an injury suffered during the second quarter of last Sunday’s Game 1.
Wizards coach Randy Wittman did not have much else to say as far as if the swelling in Wall’s hand had gone down or what the All-Star point guard’s status would be as the series moves forward.
Wall — who is averaging 17.4 points, 12.6 assists and 1.4 blocks in the playoffs — said he is taking his injury “day to day.” Ramon Sessions, who scored 21 points starting in place of Wall in Game 2, is expected to start at point guard for Washington in Game 3.
