Charles Clay among late draft picks to hit it big in NFL – Tulsa World
He might not be Tom Brady, but former Tulsa Golden Hurricane standout Charles Clay does have something in common with the New England Patriots quarterback:
Both were sixth-round NFL Draft picks.
NFL.com‘s Mike Huguenin named Clay among NFL late draft picks who have “hit it big” in the league. Clay was the 174th overall pick in the 2011 draft by the Miami Dolphins.
“Clay was an important part of Miami’s passing offense the past two seasons, and the Bills hope they have improved their passing attack by signing him away from the Dolphins,” Huguenin writes. “Clay played in a spread attack at Tulsa and basically was a pass-catching fullback with suspect blocking skills. He has become an effective pass-catching weapon in the NFL.”
