Kentucky Derby Free Picks and Betting Lines. The 2015 Kentucky Derby is scheduled to be run at 6:30 PM on May 2nd at Churchill Downs in Kentucky. A large field of twenty horses are entered and expected to go to post today in what many call the best two minutes in horse racing.
So it’s Derby Day and you can’t make it to the races or an off track wagering establishment? No problem, they’re a ton of online race books that offer betting on the Kentucky Derby from the comfort of your own home or from anywhere that you have an internet connection.
Our favorite place for horse wagering is Bovada. Not only do they offer the standard win, place and show wagering, exacta and trifecta betting they also offer horse match-ups. Horse match-ups are a cool option. If you think that no horses have a chance to win other than Carpe Diem or American Pharoah you can wager that they will beat another horse. For example if you think that Dortmund is over rated and will be lucky to be within 10 lengths of Carpe Diem then you can place a bet on Carpe Diem to beat Dortmund at +145.

Kentucky Derby Picks
We delved into the racing form yesterday and have come up with what we think are the best horses to put some money down on today.
Upstart may be sitting on a big race. He has the back numbers from last year when he had a 102 Beyer finishing second in the Grade 1 Champagne so the 108 in the Florida Derby might not be his ceiling.
American Pharoah the morning line favorite has done everything asked of him after a poor opener. Four consecutive triple digit Beyers prove that he deserves the favorite role for the race.
Carpe Diem
has won all but one race and that was last year’s Breeders’ Cup race where he finished second. His speed numbers are on the low side, but he hasn’t be challenged this racing season, so he could be any kind.
