Mavs' Parsons has surgery to fix knee cartilage
DALLAS — Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons underwent surgery Friday to repair cartilage in his right knee, the team announced.
According to the team’s news release, a timetable for Parsons’ return to basketball activities has not been determined.
The operation was performed by Mavs team physician T.O. Souryal.
Parsons posted a photo on Instagram after the surgery and had a message for fans.
Parsons, who just finished the first season of a three-year, $46 million deal, missed the final six games of the regular season and all but the first game of the playoffs due to his knee injury.
Parsons, 26, averaged 15.7 points and 4.9 rebounds this season.
