Scott Kazmir gets the ball for the A’s and his numbers are also fantastic with a 2-0 record in three starts this season allowing 5 runs in 19 1/3 innings striking out 22 batters! Some of his best work has come against Houston with six straight quality starts where he went 3-0 with a 1.79 ERA.
The left handed Smiley has just one career start against Toronto and it was a brilliant one pitching a complete game 2 hit shutout last August on the road at the Rogers Centre.
