Mavericks F Parsons out for rest of postseason
Dallas Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons will miss the remainder of the postseason because of a knee injury.
The Mavericks provided the update on Parsons on Wednesday, saying that he may need surgery on the knee.
Parsons was examined by team doctors Wednesday after missing Dallas’ loss to the Houston Rockets, his former team, in Game 2 of the division rivals’ first-round playoff series Tuesday.
The injury caused Parsons to miss the final six games of the regular season before he returned for Game 1 against Houston. He played 37 minutes in the series-opening loss despite obviously dealing with pain, scoring 10 points on 5-of-15 shooting and grabbing six rebounds.
