QB Jones wows with hitting, 74-yard bomb
Ohio State got its spring game action started with a fired-up edition of the circle drill at midfield in Ohio Stadium. As the drill reached its conclusion before the actual Scarlet-Gray game started, quarterbacks Cardale Jones and Stephen Collier stepped into the center of the ring to battle.
Ohio State had several quarterback competitions on Saturday, including the circle drill break down with Jones. While Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett did not participate in the spring game, they did take part in other activities, including a throwing competition.
Jones won that competition as well, beating out J.T. Barrett and former OSU quarterback Troy Smith with a 74-yard toss in the longest pass competition. Miller did not throw, but did take place in a footrace during halftime activities.
