No. 1 Star: Corey Perry, Anaheim Ducks
Perry had two goals and two assists in the Ducks’ 4-2 Game 1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets. That included two third-period goals, one of which needed a video review for confirmation. He also assisted on goals by Sami Vatanen and Ryan Getzlaf.
No. 2 Star: Petr Mrazek, Detroit Red Wings
The Red Wings goalie made 44 saves as they defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning, 3-2, in Game 1. It was Mrazek’s first postseason start.
No. 3 Star: Jason Zucker, Minnesota Wild
The Wild forward made a great individual effort to open the scoring in Minnesota’s 4-2 win over the St. Louis Blues in Game 1. Zucker’s wraparound goal came at 2:47 of the first.
