Hector Santiago becomes the latest victim of the cinnamon challenge
It was a pretty solid day for Los Angeles Angels starter Hector Santiago on the field Wednesday. The left-hander picked up his first win of the season, going seven strong innings against the Texas Rangers.

While Santiago was able to conquer his adversaries on the field, he had some trouble doing the same after the game. Santiago decided to take the cinnamon challenge following his win.
The cinnamon challenge is when a person attempts to eat a spoonful of cinnamon in one minute. Though it can be done, it’s incredibly difficult, and normally leads to humiliating failure. It may also be unsafe, so please don’t try it at home.

As expected, Santiago’s attempt at the challenge did not go well. He appeared to be in good shape early on, but lost it after a teammate tells him not to “suck it in.” That’s exactly what happens, and Santiago lets out a huge puff of cinnamon.
Santiago isn’t the first the fail at the cinnamon challenge, and he won’t be the last. You may have been able to mow down major-league hitters Wednesday, Hector, but a teaspoon of cinnamon was your downfall.
