Yoenis Cespedes steals a homer, immediately makes Detroit love him
When the Detroit Tigers acquired Yoenis Cespedes in a December trade with the Boston Red Sox, they knew they were getting a powerful bat. But Cespedes is equally exciting in left field, where he’s been known to uncork amazing throws and make great catches.

For his first impression with the home crowd, Cespedes hit a double in his first at-bat, but probably wowed them more with his glove. In the top of the third inning, Minnesota Twins catcher Kurt Suzuki hit what would have been a homer to left field, but Cespedes raced to the wall, jumped up, crashed hard and caught the ball.

As such, Tigers fans immediately fell in love with Cespedes, which is not a bad thing at all.
