Paul George makes his return to the court as the Indiana Pacers host the Miami Heat tonight.
The Indiana Pacers have lost three of their last five games but were able to keep their playoff hopes alive with a dominant 93-74 win over the Hornets on Friday. Rodney Stuckey led the team with 15 points off the bench while CJ Watson added 13 points, but this game was all about defense and the Pacers really flexed their muscle in the second and third quarters where they held the Hornets to a combined 22 points. With the win, Indiana improved to 33-43 on the season which keeps them in striking distance of the eighth spot in the playoffs and they received a major boost last night when it was made public that Paul George would make his season debut since breaking his leg in the offseason.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have lost six of their last eight games and will be looking to avoid a fourth straight loss after getting pipped by the Pistons in a 99-98 loss last night. Dwyane Wade led the way with 24 points while Goran Dragic added 21, but despite being up by 93-78 with 7:02 remaining in the game, the Heat just couldn’t put the Pistons away and it cost them big as they fall to 34-42 on the season which drops them back to ninth spot in the Eastern standings.
In ATS trends, the Heat are 5-1-2 ATS in their last eight games playing on zero days rest and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Pacers are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record.
Head to head, the Heat are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings overall and 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings in Indiana.
This one really could go either way with heavy playoff implications on the line, but the Pacers will be coming into this game in high spirits and should be able to get the job done at home in what will be a raucous crowd.
Indiana -5
