Want to eat ribs from a baseball helmet? The White Sox have you covered
Anyone who grew up loving baseball is familiar with the lovable quirks of the game. Whether it’s fans throwing back the opposing team’s home run or giving a foul ball to a kid, baseball has developed some excellent traditions.

One of those happens to be eating various food items out of souvenir helmets. Putting ice cream or nachos in a helmet has become a signature staple around ballparks. The Chicago White Sox have seen those items before, and have decided to take the future of helmet-eats to new heights this year.
The team may be on to something here. Ice cream and nachos are merely a snack, but ribs are a full meal. Pretty soon, we’ll see steak and eggs out of a helmet, or spaghetti and meatballs. This could be the first in a line of dinner meals served out of souvenir helmets. The White Sox could be visionaries!
Or maybe not. The White Sox introduced a number of new items Thursday, including a Pot Roast Sandwich and a bacon flight. While those pale in comparison to helmet ribs, they are still solid options.
This idea, however, may not be.
It’s time to issue a public service announcement to all baseball teams. Pizza is excellent on its own, and should never be reinvented in any way. This includes you, Minnesota Twins. You can’t put pizza in a burger, or in a bloody mary. You never do that, buddy! Leave pizza alone!
Other than that, we’re good. In fact, if you start serving pizza out of souvenir helmets, we might be willing to let those other pizza-related mistakes slide.
