Schedule of NBC Sports’ commentators for Olympics soccer tournament
It’s going to be a busy summer for NBC Sports. During the month of August, they’ll be broadcasting over 55 soccer games from the 2016 Summer Olympics, and the vast majority of them will be announced by NBC Sports talent. To put together such a task, NBC Sports is relying on a team of announcers — many of whom will be commentating 2-3 games per day in order to deal with the significant amount of games across both the men’s and women’s competitions. It’s going to be a busy summer for NBC Sports. During the month of August, they’ll be broadcasting over 55 soccer games from the 2016 Summer Olympics, and the vast majority of them will be announced by NBC Sports talent.
To put together such a task, NBC Sports is relying on a team of announcers — many of whom will be commentating 2-3 games per day in order to deal with the significant amount of games across both the men’s and women’s competitions. Many of the names listed below will be familiar from the Women’s World Cup, Copa America and Euro 2016 broadcasts. Plus, Arlo White and Kate Markgraf will be teaming up to announce the US Women’s National Team games, which will hopefully see the team advance all the way to the final.
In addition to Arlo White, NBC Sports will be borrowing the talent of Steve Bower, Kyle Martino, Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle, as well as studio presenter Rebecca Lowe. For the first few weeks of the season, Steve Bower will step in to replace Rebecca Lowe as the host of NBC’s 2016/17 Premier League coverage. No announcement has been made yet about who’ll replace Arlo White during the first few weeks as the lead announcer for NBC’s Premier League coverage.
