DraftKings Early MLB Picks For July 27
There are six games in the afternoon session, and half of the pitchers are priced at $9,000 or more. Where are the bargains so we can pay for pitching? Let’s hit the stats!
NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. The highest scorer of the day could be someone with no experience against his opponent. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. The best lineups usually have a mix of proven stats and hot players.
Michael Fulmer has never faced the Red Sox. The White Sox roughed him up a little bit last week, proving that he is still human. Be aware that the Red Sox may be able to do the same.
Zach Eflin has never faced the Marlins. His 3-3 record, 3.40 ERA, and 1.05 WHIP make him an enticing option against a middle of the road offense. Want more reasons to use him? He has four quality starts in four tries in July. Two of those were complete games, including his first career shutout against the Pirates last Friday. He is hot right now!
Luis Perdomo has never faced the Blue Jays. If you decide to use a guy with a 6.93 ERA against the Jays at home, then maybe DFS isn’t for you.
