Nebraska P Sam Foltz, Ex-MSU P Mike Sadler killed in car crash
Nebraska punter Sam Foltz and former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler were killed in a Saturday night car accident per multiple reports.
According to the Lincoln Journal-Star, the crash happened overnight in Wisconsin where Foltz was in the state for a punting camp. Foltz was 22. Sadler was 24.
“All of the university of Nebraska is heartbroken,” Nebraska chancellor Ronnie Green told the Omaha World-Herald. “I don’t know what else to say.”
Words can't describe how much my heart hurts right now… Foltz you were loved by so many and your smile was infectious. I love you buddy.????????

Foltz was set to be a senior in 2016 and was on the preseason watch list for the Ray Guy Award. Foltz averaged 44.2 yards per punt in 2015, the best average in the Big Ten.

Sadler’s senior season was in 2014 and according to his Michigan State bio, he was the first Spartan player to be named an Academic All-American for four years. You may remember him as the punter who had fun with the Bo Pelini cat meme on the field in 2014 and petted a fake cat after a punt.
