Jones wasn’t on the bus at the time of the crash and no one on the Cowboys’ vehicle was injured, driver Emery Tyler told Shutdown Corner on Sunday.
The accident occurred midway between Dallas and Oxnard, Calif., where the Cowboys hold training camp. It appears that there was a scheduled stop for an event in Las Vegas before reaching camp, but that appears to be on hold now. The accident happened about 70 miles from Las Vegas.
“It’s a scary thing,” said Tyler, 59, who has driven for Jones and the Cowboys for 16 years. “I am sorry, I can’t talk about what happened. It’s a very unfortunate thing that happened.”
The Cowboys open camp next week.
