Phillies vendor carries her popcorn in a very unusual way
Being a roving ballpark food & beverage vendor isn’t easy. They do a lot of walking up and down stairs and aisles, and a lot of shouting across large, loud crowds of people. And of course, they do a lot of hauling and carrying. Hot dogs, soda, beer, peanuts, popcorn, they carry it all and bring it to hungry game-goers.
Honestly, it sounds exhausting. But on Thursday, the ballpark camera spotted a Philadelphia Phillies popcorn vendor who came up with a solution to give her arms a rest.
She elected to carry the bin of popcorn boxes on her head, showing off truly exceptional balance. And she didn’t just do it for a few steps, either. She carried that bin on her head all the way down the stairs of an aisle at Citizens Bank Park.

What makes this feat even more amazing is the bin itself. It’s not a special food carrying bin, or one that’s made for balancing on heads. It looks like a regular plastic storage bin, pretty much identical to one I have in my living room right now. I emptied it out and tried to balance it on my head, and it’s really hard to do. (I ended up knocking over a glass of water.) That popcorn vendor has some skills.
The next evolutionary step for ballpark vendors is clearly to have them flying drones which carry their big container of hot dogs or peanuts. But until then, this Phillies popcorn vendor has the right idea. Maybe she can teach a ballpark vendor masterclass.
