Penn State men's basketball picks up class of 2018 commitment – The Daily Collegian Online
Even with less than five months remaining until the start of the 2016-17 men’s basketball season, Penn State coach Patrick Chambers is already turning an eye to the future.
Chambers and his staff picked up a class of 2018 commitment from Gonzaga College High School’s Myles Dread on Sunday.
Dread is a three-star small forward, according to scout.com, and is listed at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds.
He gives Chambers another versatile option on the wing with his ability to space the floor and shoot from the perimeter.
Dread also had offers from George Mason and James Madison, among others, but the Washington D.C. native chose to verbally commit to the Nittany Lions shortly following his unofficial visit to campus on June 27.
