The preliminary TV schedule for the first month of Premier League action of the 2016/17 season can now be revealed. With it, we’ve got a much better idea of which matches will be shown at what time and where the games can be watched online and on television.
Leicester City will be featured in the first game of the 2016/17 season when they play Hull City on Saturday, August 13. Plus, in addition to the other games being featured that opening weekend, we can look forward to Arsenal against Liverpool, which will be televised at 11am ET on Sunday, August 14.
While NBC Sports hasn’t announced what their schedule will be, the preliminary schedule below is likely to be correct. The only major variable is NBC’s coverage of the 2016 Summer Olympics. The over-the-air NBC broadcasting network will be featuring wall-to-wall coverage of the Olympics from August 5 through August 21, as well as coverage across NBCSN, CNBC and other NBC-related networks. So it’s quite possible that the live TV coverage may be moved to different channels depending on the events those days.
Most of the Saturday 10am ET games will be announced by NBC Sports closer to when the season is scheduled to start.
