DraftKings Early MLB picks for June 29
Seven of the 15 games are in the early tournament, so that gives us a pretty even split on the day. The Coors Field stack will be this afternoon, so let’s take a look at some stats to find some bargains and exploit that!
NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. The highest scorer of the day could be someone with no experience against his opponent. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. The best lineups usually have a mix of proven stats and hot players.
Daniel Norris has never faced the Marlins, but he was solid in his first start of the season against Seattle on Thursday. You can expect something similar to the three run in five innings with five strikeouts that he posted against the Mariners.
Tyler Anderson has a sparkling 2.55 ERA through three starts, but he has only gone more than six innings once. He has posted 20 strikeouts in 17.2 innings, but today he gets the Blue Jays in Coors Field. Anderson has a lot of promise, but this is a big risk.
Aaron Sanchez has never faced the Rockies. He seems to be emerging as the ace of the staff, going 7-1 with a 3.33 ERA. However, this is a young pitcher at Coors Field. I wouldn’t blame you if you rolled the dice with him, but there is still a lot of risk involved.
Cody Reed has given up nine runs in 12 innings to the Astros and Padres. What do you think the Cubs will do to him???
