Report: Alabama suspended Jones and Robinson in May
While Alabama’s Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones have ultimately not been charged after their arrest in Louisiana, the two have reportedly already been punished by the Tide football team.
Per documents published by television station KNOE in Louisiana, the two players were indefinitely suspended on May 19. Jones and Robinson were arrested early May 17 for drug and weapons possession charges.
The players have also faced other discipline. According to the video report from KNOE, documents show both players have had to undergo weekly drug tests and visit drug counselors. They had also been told to take gun safety classes and Robinson did 26 hours of police ride alongs later in May.

Jones was in drug rehabilitation for three weeks at Bradford Health Services in Alabama, per the document.
The Monroe County, Louisiana, district attorney said Monday he would not be charging the two players and cited his desire to not ruin their lives and status as football players as a reason why.
Robinson is widely considered to be a top-10 pick in the 2017 NFL draft if he declares for the draft after his junior season (and his performance is anywhere near where it was in 2015). Jones, a defensive back, has been a key special teams contributor for the Tide.
