Phillies fan makes terrific one-handed catch while holding child
Sometimes we take for granted how good professional baseball players are because they make the incredibly difficult look so easy. But when it’s a fan that pulls off a jaw-dropping play without breaking a sweat, then you’ve got our complete attention.
What Phillies fan Brian Kucharik did on Thursday night at Citizens Bank Park was worthy of a standing ovation. With a foul ball off Blue Jays’ hitter Kevin Pillar’s bat heading his way down the right-field line, he made a remarkable one-handed catch, barely getting out of his seat to reel it in.

Why was he restricted to one hand? Well, he had his other arm wrapped around his sleepy young daughter and was also holding a food tray and some bags. Bravo, sir. That was one heck of a play, especially considering degree of difficulity.
In a game where the Phillies are getting blasted, Kucharik’s catch provides a much-needed highlight for the home fans to rally around.
