Jim Harbaugh’s first-pitch baseball card from Topps is fantastic
One of the coolest subsets that Topps has introduced the past few years to baseball card collectors is its first-pitch inserts, which focuses on celebrities and their first pitches. With Topps 2016 Series 2 launching Wednesday, that means we get another batch of first-pitch cards.

And we’re pretty confident that the best of the bunch belongs to Jim Harbaugh, the intense University of Michigan football coach. In fitting Harbaugh fashion, he looks exactly like a baseball player, in full uniform, focused on the moment, with no smile. He’s probably even ready to yell at the umpire if his pitch is called a ball. Look at him, a small part of Harbaugh had to think the Tigers were going to ask him to stay out there be their starter that night.
Harbaugh’s intensity in football (and his love for jerseys) is well-known as this point. But he’s pretty intense when he goes to baseball games too. He says he’s caught at least 20 foul balls at MLB games. If this is how he does a first pitch, we have no reason to think he’s lying.
Beyond Harbaugh, we also have your first look at two other cool first-pitch cards, for rapper Kendrick Lamar and model Nina Agdal:
