IndyCar will wait until August for 3rd try at Texas race (The Associated Press)
After another soggy day in Texas, the IndyCar Series will wait 2 1/2 months before a third try to race. With a 50 percent chance of more rain Monday, IndyCar decided to resume the race Aug. 27, which is during what had been an open weekend for the series. ”We maybe could have hung around, try to get dry tonight and run enough to get to halfway, but that’s not right,” Texas Motor Speedway president Eddie Gossage said.
