Video: Andre Drummond blocks Danish boy, makes America great again
Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is supposed to be serving as an NBA ambassador during his European vacation, but it appears he’s making small children never want to play the sport again instead.
As a small Danish boy drives to the hoop for what assumes will be an uncontested layup during an exhibition game in Odense, Denmark, the 7-foot Drummond reminds him nothing comes easy in this life. The Third Team All-NBA center even stares the youngster down until someone finally comforts him.
“Straight savage,” indeed.

As much fun as it is seeing NBA players dominating small children — and it always is — Drummond’s complete disregard for the boy’s full-grown teammate is equally enjoyable. Never has a man been left hanging on a high five so long, but credit his persistence. At least someone would not be denied here.
If you thought Drummond was through embarrassing all of Europe, think again. And he didn’t even need a basketball to further his world domination tour. Welcomed into London’s famed Lord’s Cricket Ground by British cricket captain Eoin Morgan and former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum, Drummond took them yard — or ground, or deep for a boundary six, or whatever they say across the pond.
By the time Independence Day rolls around, I’m sure Drummond will have dunked on a young Swedish girl and drilled a penalty kick past German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. So, as you crack open an ice-cold Budweiser America this July 4, salute Detroit’s Andre Drummond for making this country great again.
