Triple-A baseball team to host ‘Free Brady Friday’
On this, the 500th day of L’Affaire deflate-gate, we present this cheeky news nugget:
The Pawtucket Red Sox, the triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, are holding “Free Brady Friday” on June 10, at their home field, McCoy Stadium in Rhode Island.
Any fan who shows identification proving they are named Tom and/or Brady will get in free, and the normally-priced $13 box seats will be $12 for the night in honor of Brady’s jersey number. For every $12 ticket sold, the team will give a “quarter back” (get it?) to Best Buddies, a charity Brady has supported for years.

Ceremonial first pitches and some in-game promotions will use footballs instead of baseballs, and placards for the first 3,000 fans will be used during a between-innings photo opportunity.
“Tom Brady is one of the region’s most beloved athletes and public figures,” PawSox vice president/general manager Dan Rea said. “This evening allows PawSox fans, so many of whom are Patriots fans, to show their support for him.”
Free Brady Friday is the culmination of a week of Patriots-related events the team is holding.
