Alexander Rossi earned $2,548,743 for winning the 100th running of the Indianapolis 5000. Rossi’s winnings included a $50,000 bonus from Sunoco for being the top rookie in the race. Rossi stretched his fuel mileage for the final 90 miles to score an upset victory.
