Rashford signs new Man United contract
Manchester United have announced that striker Marcus Rashford and defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson have both signed new contracts, which tie them to the club until at least 2020.
There is an option to extend those deals for both teenagers by another year on top of that.
Rashford, 18, has been rewarded for scoring eight goals in 18 appearances for his club, having made his first-team debut in the 5-1 home win against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League on Feb. 25 when he scored twice.
Borthwick-Jackson, 19, made his debut in the 2-0 win against West Bromwich Albion in November and made 14 appearances for the first-team, during a season in which he was named as the club’s Under 21 player of the year.

Rashford said on United’s official website: “I am delighted to have signed a new contract. I have always been a Manchester United fan, so to be playing in the first team really is a dream come true.
“I am grateful for having the chance to prove myself. To be able to play football at the biggest club in the world means everything to me and my family.”
Rashford also made his England debut on Friday, scoring in just the third minute of the 2-1 win against Australia at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland. England manager Roy Hodgson has admitted that he has a selection headache ahead of naming his Euro 2016 squad, which must be announced by Tuesday.
It has been a meteoric rise for Rashford, who followed his opening goals against Midtjylland by scoring twice again, three days later, on his Premier League debut when United won 3-2 against Arsenal at Old Trafford. Since then, he has also scored for his club against Manchester City, West Ham United, Aston Villa and Bournemouth.

The lengthy deal has been completed just three days after Jose Mourinho took over as the new manager. Although Mourinho’s track record with youth has been questioned win the past, United’s executive vice chairman Ed Woodward said that Rashford is in the right place to develop.
Woodward said: “Marcus is a naturally talented footballer with great potential. He has taken his chances well and has integrated into the first team very quickly.
“I am delighted that Marcus has signed a new contract, he is at the right club to continue his development. He is still very young and we need to be patient but he is developing in the right way and we believe he has a great future ahead of him.”
Borthwick-Jackson said: “I have grown up at United and have enjoyed every minute of being here. Last season was an incredible experience to make my first team debut and a dream come true for myself and my family. I feel it stands me in good stead for continuing my development as a Manchester United player.”
