Marlins player struck in head by foul ball
The ninth inning of Sunday’s Marlins-Braves game featured a scary moment.
During the top half of the inning, Christian Yelich hit a foul ball into the Marlins’ dugout. Most of the time, the ball seems to miss everyone and the only damage suffered is to the ego of those who jumped out of the way. Unfortunately, Yelich’s ball appeared to strike Derek Dietrich in the neck area.
Dietrich went down for some time before taking a seat on the bench. He was removed from the game and later exited to the clubhouse. It appears he’ll be okay:

Dietrich is tied for the NL lead in getting hit by pitches with 8, so he’s no softie. For him to be down that long, it had to really hurt.
