Milan bomb scare proves false alarm
Two lines on the Milan metro were suspended ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final after the discovery of a suspicious package near the San Siro.
The ANSA news agency has since reported that it was a false alarm.
Real Madrid face Atletico Madrid at the San Siro stadium in the city on Saturday evening, and Gazzetta dello Sport reported that a “unidentifiable package” was found on the stairs of the Cadorna station, leading authorities to suspend travel at around 11 a.m. local time.
ANSA has reported that the discovery proved to be a false alarm, with the package containing gifts for children.
The news agency added that the two lines became active around an hour later.
