High water around the region is still creating a challenge for many anglers, but here are a few spots where the angling action is good:

» Lake McConaughy — Walleye anglers are still catching fish. You need a boat and a good sonar to be effective, but walleye are being caught in Martin Bay and Arthur Bay. Deep diving crankbaits in a Firetiger pattern is working well. Nightcrawlers or GULP bait on a slip-bobber rig is also productive.
