Another day, another knock for Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. On Wednesday night, he pushed his hitting streak to 29 games thanks to a first-pitch line drive to left field in the fourth inning. Here’s the video evidence:

Bradley Jr. is now more than halfway to Joe DiMaggio’s all-time record — 56, obviously, set some 75 years ago. Additionally, and more pressingly, Bradley Jr. is closing in on the far more attainable Red Sox franchise record:

If Bradley Jr. wants to match the second-longest Red Sox hitting streak ever, he’ll need a hit on Thursday. The Rockies are set to start right-hander Jon Gray in that game. Bradley Jr. has never faced Gray — at this point, though, it’s not as if that seems to matter one way or the other.
