DraftKings Late MLB Picks For May 25
There are eight games in the night tournament tonight. That leaves us quite a few options, and a lot of tough decisions to make. Who should you spend on? Let’s hit the stats!
NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. The highest scorer of the day could be someone with no experience against his opponent. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. The best lineups usually have a mix of proven stats and hot players.
Steven Wright has never faced the Rockies, but this game is in Boston and Wright carries a 2.52 ERA into this. He may be worth a look. Scott Kazmir has a very limited history against the Reds, but they have had a slow series hitting the ball. He may be worth using as well. Matt Andriese has never faced the Marlins. Tyler Wilson has never faced the Astros, but they do strike out at an alarming rate. The same goes for Justin Nicolino against the Rays.
Zach Neal will make his first major league start against the Mariners, a team that is averaging a shade over 4.5 runs per game. You may want to pass on that one.
