Stanley Cup Final schedule: Game 1 is May 30
Even though the NHLs conference finals are still being played with the Pittsburgh Penguins taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning in the East, and the San Jose Sharks and St. Louis Blues playing in the West, we already know when the 2016 Stanley Cup Final games will be played.
We just need to know which teams will be playing in them.
The NHL announced the schedule for the 2016 Stanley Cup Final on Tuesday evening and it will begin on Monday, May 30.
If there is a Game 7 it will be played on Wednesday June 15.
The team that has the highest point total from the regular season will have home ice advantage in the final and host Games 1, 2, 5 and 7.
If the Blues are in, they will have home ice advantage against either team from the East. Pittsburgh would have home ice advantage against San Jose, while San Jose would end up having home ice against Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay is the only team in the conference finals that can not have home ice advantage in the final in any potential matchup.
Here is the complete schedule, which will be updated when the matchup and TV listings are finalized.
