Go Maggie Go wins Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (The Associated Press)

Coming off a fourth-place finish in the prestigious Kentucky Oaks, Go Maggie Go found her way back into the winner’s circle in the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes. It was a glorious afternoon for trainer Dale Romans, trainer of Go Maggie Go and second-place finisher Ma Can Do It. After staying near the front for much of the 1 1/8-mile race, Go Maggie Go distanced herself from the competition at the finish to win by 2 1/2 lengths – her third first-place finish in four career races.
