George Springer decided to play some football dressed as a T-Rex
Before most Astros games, outfielders George Springer and Jake Marisnick like to hit the field early and throw the football around as part of their pregame routine.

That was also the plan before Saturday’s game against the Texas Rangers at Minute Maid Park, though this time Springer added a highly entertaining twist to the proceedings.
Well, we’ll just have to take his word that it’s George Springer dressed up as a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Or Springersaurus. Whichever you prefer.
It’s actually not the first time Springer has donned a costume for his pregame ritual, which we’re going to assume serves to loosen him up both mentally and physically. In fact, one time before he dressed like an actual Houston Texans wide receiver.

We’re not entirely sure what the motivation behind the dinosaur costume was, but the sight was absolutely hilarious. Especially once the Springersaurus sprang into action.
Alright, so he’s a little bit limited by his T-Rex arms and his choppy footwork. Those skills may have sufficed in the prehistoric ages, but they won’t fly in 2016.
Oh well, we assume he couldn’t hit a curveball right away either. With a little more practice, maybe he’ll be dazzling as a football-catching dinosaur, just as he does as a baseball-crushing superstar.
