RB with tattoo of himself in Memphis uniform is transferring
Jarvis Cooper may be thinking about getting an updated tattoo at some point.
The Memphis running back is transferring from the program, the team announced on Tuesday.
“Jarvis is a fine young man who has represented the University of Memphis well,” new Memphis coach Mike Norvell said in a statement. “With our current depth at running back, he is looking for an opportunity to be in a more featured role and for a fresh start. We wish him all the best in his future.”
Norvell replaced Justin Fuente as the Tigers’ head coach. Fuente left after the 2015 season to be the head coach at Virginia Tech.
In March, Cooper tweeted this picture of his new ink.

Cooper, a junior in 2016, was the team’s second-leading rusher in 2015. He had 91 carries for 389 yards and five touchdowns. He had 378 rushing yards and four scores in 2014 and said he’s still proud of his recent tattoo despite the decision to transfer.
