Phillie Phanatic arrests Jose Fernandez for stealing his keys
The Phillie Phanatic isn’t fond of folks trying to mess with his ATV and Miami pitcher Jose Fernandez became the latest visiting player to find that out the hard way.
Fernandez stole the keys to the Phanatic’s four wheeler Wednesday afternoon before the team’s played at Citizens Bank Park and the Phanatic first begged a police officer to handle the matter and then ultimately borrowed the officer’s handcuffs to deal with Fernandez himself.

This might be the first citizen’s arrest in the long and entertaining career of the Phanatic. The Phillies beat the Marlins 4-2 and Fernandez was released from the ballpark slammer in time to watch the game from the bench.
