Former Minnesota running back Jeff Jones is facing some serious charges. Jones, a former top 50 recruit, was charged with felony drug possession on Friday. Jones was found with cocaine in his sock and loaded handgun under his seat. On top of that, he was wanted on a felony narcotics charge stemming from an incident in Iowa.
Jones landed at Iowa Western Community College after leaving Minnesota in December. Jones was kicked off the Iowa Western team in April for violating team rules. In addition to the Iowa narcotics charge, Jones was also arrested for assault with intent to inflict serious injury in March.
Chase Ferris, a running back from Palmer, Alaska, made the decision to play football at Division II University of Mary after a successful bear hunt. For real.
