Mark Richt appeared in a jeans commercial in 1982 (Video)
Miami head coach Mark Richt has an extensive resume – one that includes commercial acting.
Wait, what?
Yeah. Commercial acting.
Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post dug up a commercial for “Jesus jeans” from 1982, when Richt was the backup quarterback to some guy named Jim Kelly at Miami. According to Porter, Richt answered a casting call for UM students to appear in the commercial for the Italian jeans company, and he made the cut.

At the :07 mark in the video below, you’ll see a man jumping rope. That is the young Mark Richt.
Look at that handsome young fella!
The video was passed along to Porter by Michael Scott Sheerin, a Florida International University professor and former Miami student who also makes an appearance in the commercial.
Sheerin, who you can see riding a bike at the 0:23 mark, said the commercial was filmed on Miami’s campus, where Richt was apparently quite the ladies man.

“I remember helping (Richt) out with the cues for his scenes. And that the chicks paid him a lot of attention,” Sheerin said. “I knew who he was. Though he usually didn’t start, a UM quarterback is still a big man on campus.”
