No matter what happens in the Kentucky Derby, trainer Steve Asmussen has appreciated this year’s stay a little more than the others. The feeling is understandable considering he has two contenders in Arkansas Derby winner Creator and Louisiana Derby winner Gun Runner. This is the 10th Derby for Asmussen.
