Texas LB Dalton Santos to pursue graduate transfer
Dalton Santos will pursue a graduate transfer.
The Texas senior linebacker announced the decision in a Twitter post Monday, saying he will play his fifth season elsewhere “at the highest level (he) can.”

The 6-foot-2, 257-pound Santos saw considerable playing time early in his career. As a sophomore in 2013, Santos played in all 13 games, starting seven, and finished fourth on the Longhorns with 74 tackles. As a true freshman, Santos played in all 13 games and led the team with 10 special teams tackles.
His role diminished as a junior (12 tackles in 10 games) and he missed the entire 2015 season due to an ankle injury.

With the influx of young talent on the UT roster, it was unlikely for Santos to return to the starting lineup. As a result, he decided to pursue another opportunity in his final year of college football.
