Clayton Kershaw does it all as Dodgers end skid
Coming into Sunday’s home tilt against the Padres, the Dodgers had lost six in a row and in the process fallen below the .500 mark. It fell to uber-ace Clayton Kershaw to close the wounds. He did that and more.
Not only did Kershaw twirl a three-hit shutout against San Diego, but he also struck out 14 against no walks. Oh, and he also registered the game’s only RBI in what turned out to be a 1-0 Dodgers win (box score). Some highlights …
After Sunday’s gem, Kershaw saw his 2016 ERA fall to 1.96. He’s struck out an MLB-leading 54 batters against just three (!) walks. As well, Kershaw’s 46 innings also pace the bigs.
You see, Clayton Kershaw remains adept at his chosen craft.
