Drake takes, deletes Instagram shot at Paul George after Game 5
Sometimes, after a big win, you can get a little too charged up.

During Tuesday’s pivotal Game 5 between the Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers at Air Canada Centre, hip-hop megastar and Raptors team ambassador Drake got involved in the action from his courtside seats. With the Raps in the midst of a monster fourth-quarter comeback from a 17-point deficit and the Pacers self-destructing due to turnovers and missed shots, Indiana guard Rodney Stuckey just straight-up lost control of the basketball in front of Drake’s seat, dove to try to corral it, and stepped out of bounds, giving the ball back to Toronto down by five with just over seven minutes remaining.
Drake was, um, pretty excited about that.
Y’know, turnovers just seem to have a way of happening around Drake.
Drizzy also appeared to have some words for Pacers superstar Paul George after an Indiana miss:
After the Raptors escaped with a 102-99 win thanks to Solomon Hill’s attempt at a game-tying 3-pointer coming just after the final buzzer, your man Aubrey was intoxicated by the thrill of victory and being saved from the agony of defeat. From Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun:
They were screaming in the hallway, part-running, part skipping, part-dancing their way into the Raptors dressing room on this night of the head-scratching and near-impossible.
“One more,” somebody screamed, and then Drake repeated it. “One more.” […]
This was a night impossible to forget. The Raptors win that came from the bench and from the sky. And as Drake yelled, surrounded by his security men on the way out, “One more!”
So, naturally, Drake blasted off a quick ‘gram to express his excitement over the win … and, as he did after Toronto’s Game 3 win, to take a swipe at George:

Unlike the post he published after Game 3, though, Drake decided to delete this one. Because, y’know, that’ll stop folks from seeing it!
From where I was sitting, it didn’t look like George was “scared” as much as it looked like he was “hung out to dry by teammates who couldn’t help him out on a night that saw him touch Toronto up for a game-high 39 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.” But hey, I don’t have Drake’s seats or his bird’s-eye #views. George seemed salty enough about the fact that his Pacers let slip a golden opportunity to take a 3-2 lead back home to Indiana; one suspects he wouldn’t much appreciate an international superstar Meeking him in its aftermath, too.
George doesn’t figure to need any additional motivation for Game 6. (The threat of elimination tends to be incentive enough.) If he does find himself at any point lacking inspiration, he can always flash on an image of good ol’ Champagne Papi putting tears on him; that ought to stoke the fires and have him looking for revenge all summer sixteen for all 48 minutes on Friday.
