Georgia CB Juwuan Briscoe arrested on misdemeanor traffic charges
Georgia defensive back Juwuan Briscoe spent part of his Saturday night arrested.
According to jail records, Briscoe was arrested by UGA’s police department on two misdemeanor traffic charges. He was arrested shortly after 9 p.m. for not having a license and not wearing his seatbelt. Both charges had a bond of $500 and Briscoe was released from custody approximately an hour after his arrest according to the jail site.
Briscoe, a freshman in 2015, had two starts with six tackles and two pass breakups last season. He made his first start against Florida and also had seven other appearances. He’s considered a possible starter for the Bulldogs in 2016.

Briscoe was a four-star recruit in the class of 2015 according to Rivals. The site had him listed as the No. 29 cornerback in the country and the No. 7 recruit in the state of Maryland.
He’s also the third Georgia player arrested this month. Freshman defensive Julian Rochester and freshman cornerback Chad Clay were arrested less than two weeks ago for allegedly shooting a BB gun in their dorm room. Jonathan Ledbetter, another defensive lineman, was arrested in March for alcohol possession and having a false ID. He’s been suspended for the first game of the season.
