This weekend was a popular one for spring games this year.
Tennessee brought out all the stops for its Orange and White game. Navy “Leap Frogs” parachuted into Neyland Stadium and filmed the entire thing.
Oh, and newly minted NBA Hall of Famer Allen Iverson was in attendance. Recruits had to love seeing The Answer.
At Notre Dame, wide receiver Torii Hunter Jr. did a great impression of his dad – longtime MLB outfielder Torii Hunter – with this circus catch.
There wasn’t much offense at Alabama’s spring game, but this lady – with her “Bama eye” – didn’t seem to mind.
At Cal and Oregon State, players had some issues with objects on the field.
It was a bit more understandable at Oregon State, where some serious construction is ongoing at Reser Stadium.
At Louisville, quarterback Lamar Jackson had quite the afternoon.
Not sure if that says more about Jackson or the state of the Louisville defense.
Ohio State set another record for spring game attendance.
Those in attendance saw this highlight reel interception from Jerome Baker.
True freshman Jacob Eason, a five-star early enrollee, looks like he could be the top quarterback at Georgia.
And while Georgia isn’t quite ready to name a starter, Kentucky is going with Drew Barker.
Here’s a wild story about Alabama’s Ryan Parris, a walk-on long snapper who has a parasite living in his eye. Yes, you read that correctly.
Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey threw out the first pitch at a local Palo Alto little league.
Texas A&M’s new athletic director is open to renewing the Aggies’ rivalry with Texas, but knows that decision involves more than just his approval.
Former West Virginia AD and current NCAA staffer Oliver Luck says the controversial satellite camp ruling could be examined further.
Ohio State is deep at a lot of positions, but tight end is not one of them. This graduate transfer from Notre Dame’s Chase Hounshell will be a welcomed addition.
At Nebraska, defensive lineman Greg McMullen is calling it a career. He had 28 tackles and four sacks last season.
If you’re planning on attending the Tennessee-Virginia Tech game at Bristol Motor Speedway, you may see Vols legend Peyton Manning.
Former Penn State lineman John Urschel, now with the Baltimore Ravens, will deliver the commencement address at PSU’s College of Science.
Urschel received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in math at Penn State and is currently pursuing a PhD in math at MIT. He’s one smart dude.
