Datsyuk received a roughing penalty on the play. He then exited the game and didn’t return for the rest of the second period. He came back at the start of the third period.
Shortly after Datsyuk lost the tooth, longtime teammate Henrik Zetterberg went looking for it during a stoppage.
Through two periods the Red Wings are down 2-1 to the Lightning and also down 1-0 in the series.
