Five reasons you should watch Giants vs. Dodgers on Yahoo Sports

We’ve had some nice games so far and we’ve told you plenty of things to watch for in those contests. But we’re particularly excited about Friday’s game — the San Francisco Giants vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers. There are so many things to watch for in this one, that we want to talk directly to you, so you don’t miss out.
In fact, here are five reasons you should spend your Friday night watching the Giants and Dodgers right here on Yahoo Sports.
1. It’s Jackie Robinson Day. Everybody in baseball is wearing No. 42 on Friday and if there’s one team you should watch on Jackie Robinson Day, it’s the Dodgers. Even if you hate the Dodgers, this is the day to make an exception.
2. Can’t beat the pitching matchup. It’s Clayton Kershaw vs. Madison Bumgarner, two aces who are among the best in the NL. This is like the rematch of a heavyweight fight. They met last Saturday in San Francisco, with the Dodgers winning in extra innings, 3-2.
3. You get to listen to Vin Scully. Anytime you get the opportunity to listen to Vin Scully call a game — in his farewell season, no less — you should do it. You never know what random knowledge he’s going to impart on you.
4. Pitchers Who Rake, The Revenge: One of the better subplots of Kershaw vs. Bumgarner is each pitcher’s ability to hit home runs. Last time they played, Bumgarner hit one off Kershaw. The second of his career off Kershaw, in fact. But Kershaw can go yard too. He’s homered against the Giants, but not Bumgarner. Is it Kershaw’s time for revenge? 5. The Giants and Dodgers are already fighting for the top of the NL West. Yes, it’s only April 15, but these two NL West juggernauts are already duking it out for the top spot. They’re both 6-4 this season. It’s not too early to care about breaking ties atop the division, is it?
