Arkansas RB Kody Walker suffers broken foot
Arkansas will be without its top returning running back for the next few months.
Head coach Bret Bielema announced Wednesday that senior Kody Walker suffered a broken right foot during Tuesday’s practice. Bielema said Walker should be back at full strength “by June.”
“Unfortunately Kody suffered a broken foot during yesterday’s practice. It required surgery that went well today and doctors expect a full recovery,” Bielema said. “It’s a pretty standard foot injury that we’ve dealt with in the past.”

Walker, who rushed for 394 yards and six touchdowns in 2015, is no stranger to injuries. The sixth-year senior twice suffered season-ending injuries his career – stress fractures in both shins in 2011 and a broken leg in 2012. Playing mainly fullback, he combined for 181 yards rushing in 2013 and 2014. He then transitioned to running back.
With Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins off to the NFL, Walker is expected to have a bigger role in 2016 provided he stays healthy.

“if anyone knows how to battle adversity, it’s Kody Walker,” Bielema said.
